Rand Paul's Itinerary
Most of the states throughout both of the elections stayed the same, but in 2012 republican candidate Mitt Romney gained Indiana and North Carolina. States like Illinois and Florida remained democratic, while states like Mississippi and Texas remained republican. Swing states will help get my team and I into the presidential seat. Some swing states are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Swing states are very important because, they can give me more electoral votes, which means I am more likely to win the race if I win over those swing states. Cities that are in Wisconsin, which is a swing state would be Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay. The reason why I choosed to go to theses cities is because they are some of the biggest in the state. Next I would go to Iowa, Iowa is another big swing state. Some cities that I would go to while I am in Iowa would be Des Moines, Davenport, and Iowa City. The reason why I choosed to go to Des Moines is because they have they are the biggest city in Iowa and it is the capital of Iowa. Then after I would go to Iowa, I would go to Ohio another swing state. Some cities that I would go to that are in Ohio would be Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Cleveland. The reason why I would go to these cities is because they hold the most power in the state, especially Columbus which is the state's capital. Another state that I would visit would be Florida. Some cities that I would visit while I am in Florida would be Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, and Tallahassee. The reason why I would go to these cities is because they are the biggest in the state and hold most of the power of the state.
My itinerary will be from August to November of 2016. In August my team and I will start on the east coast of the United States. I will spend some of my time in states like New York and Maine, even though they are democratic states, I would try to get them to go republican, even though that probably won’t happen. Next, I will go to North Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, and Florida. The reason why I will go to these states and spend a lot of time there is because they are swing states, and if I get them to become on my side that will get me a higher chance of winning. Then I would go to states like South Carolina and Georgia. The reason why I would go there is because they are republican states and so that I could keep them that way. Next, my team and I would go to midwest for September and October. The reason why my team and I would go to the midwest for so long is because a majority of the swing states are in the midwest. States like Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa, and Colorado. If I could get those stats on my side my team and I would get a massive boost to the already republican midwest. I would spend most of my time in those swing states, next I would go to states like Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. I would not spend a lot of time there but, I would still try to get them to the republican side. After that I would go to states like Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma, which are on the republican side. I would go there just to reinforce the votes in those states. That is where I would spend the rest of September and October. And finally my team and I would go to the west coast. That is where we would spend to month of November in. The reason why we are there only for November is because the states on the west coast are mostly democratic. On the way to the west coast we would stop and Colorado and New mexico, Colorado is a swing state and New Mexico is a democratic state in both states we would try to make them go on our side. When we would get there my team and I would go to Nevada which is a swing state and spend a good amount of time there. Next, we would go to states like California and Oregon, even though they are democratic we would try to make them the opposite. Finally, we would go to Alaska, Alaska is a republican state and my team and I hope that we can make it stay that way. That is our itinerary for August through November 2016.
